The 2023 Queensland Association and Special Education Leaders (QASEL) Strategies Conference took place in late August at the Hilton Brisbane Hotel. The event drew approximately 460 attendees, including Principals, Deputy Principals, Heads of Special Education Services, Heads of Department, and other leaders and aspiring professionals, all committed to supporting students with disabilities across educational sectors in Queensland.

During the three-day conference, MGD participated as a platinum sponsor and stallholder. Our representatives Richard Marsden and Jessica Harris provided opening remarks with an introduction to our firm’s comprehensive services, underlining our partnership with QASEL. The pair also ran a 45-minute workshop equipping attendees with essential financial strategies to achieve their retirement goals, ensuring they can retire when they want, with the financial security they require. Rachel Barlow and Collin Fox from our advisory also visited the conference. 

Richard and Jessica enjoyed sharing their knowledge on optimising retirement planning and look forward to providing continued support to QASEL members. They are honoured to have received artwork (pictured below) from Woody Point Special School following their presentation.
